Isla is counting down the days until she goes to India. She knows India is incredibly special to her and speaks with such excitement to be going.
This trip started out as Mummy wanting to take Isla back to see the Country she was born in and to see her surrogate mother again. I am incredibly passionate about keeping the connection so Isla can make a decision when she is older as to what level of relationship she would like with both Santosh and India. I was so touched when friends of mine asked to join us on our trip. I love sharing my love for India and these girls are so accepting of our family and I know they will not only love being with Isla but will find India creeping up on them just like it does to so many. It manages to move you, excite you, shock you, all in one day. I suppose it highlights the feeling of being alive.
We have 9 days to go until we leave. The trip has been planned to a strict itinerary trying to see and experience as much as possible. We are packed and ready to go!
This blog will be a summary of what we do each day so all our families can read and see our days.
I thank the girls who are joining me. I feel privileged that Isla will be able to look back at photos and know she was so special that Mummy's friends wanted to come with her to India. That they loved her and how she was brought into our family. I know seeing Isla with Santosh will move everyone because they have a love for each other that is beautiful even when she speaks about her. Lately she asks me to play the Santosh game so she can practice what to say ...... which normally is "Santosh I have missed you so much, I love you".
The twins just say "We are going next year!"
