Travelling

I am sitting on the (sardine) plane from Singapore to Delhi whilst I type this and looking back the first day has been full of hiccups. Hoping it is all out of the way once we get there so the rest of the trip is smooth sailing.
We arrived in Melbourne after what seemed like the longest road trip. Thankfully our little Isla was an angel. The motel mixed up our rooms and overbooked our group but after much sorting out all was good. I have no idea why on earth I thought our flight was 950am but as the girls are traveling blind faith with me they didn't question why I had us on the 7am shuttle. I looked at the board when we arrived and couldn't see our flight...hmm that's because it left at 1045! Luckily we did arrive so early because we spent an eternity at Qantas checking in because our flights were not ticketed! Apparently we were very lucky that they had not been cancelled. Something to do with one airline not notifying the other? We were told to ring our travel agent because we didn't have seats ticketed home either. All done now.
The flight from Melbourne to Singapore was good. Carlie found Isla a playground so she ran and played for hours.
We board the Singapore to Delhi flight and it was a small plane by normal standards. I noticed Bronwyn wasn't on the plane but we didn't worry as she had told one of the girls she liked to board after the rush. Well she nearly wasn't on the plane! They were not going to let her on as she didn't have a visa (travelling on a NZ passport you get one at Delhi on arrival) and they wanted her to have 2 passport photos which she didn't. They asked her where her itinerary was - uhm with a girl on the plane already! Where is your baggage ticket we need your bags off the plane! Uhm with a girl on the plane! I can't imagine her distress but all good when they confirmed she could come. The thought of the plane leaving and missing one person wasn't a good one!
Back to this flight. I have to record this on the blog for nostalgia. One Isle 30cm wide, one set of toilets, lots of busting passengers = chaos! Setting the bar I told them! Blind faith I told them! You will love it I told them!
Love it they will. Just after a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast.
Miss Isla has been incredible. It's funny how separating her from the twins shows a side of her personality I don't get to see often. She is funny and loves to draw and imagine. She was singing frozen loudly as we pushed her through the airport on a luggage trolley.
