We were up early for breakfast and organised for the day. PKs wife and daughter were looking after Isla for the day as I knew Old Delhi was not a place for her. We were taken by car as far in as we could and then hopped on a cycle rickshaw into the hustle and bustle of a day gone by. Our riders wereparticularly adamant that we were not to go off by ourselves like I wanted so all I could do was convince them to give me 5 minutes. In that time I took the girls down an alley and up flights of stairs to get onto the roof tops to overlook Old Delhi.
... We then made our way to Red Fort but Lynnie managed to find herself in an interview on Iranian tv about tourists in Delhi!
Red Fort was great but still our photo was taken so many times we were happy to leave!
We then looked through an Emporium and on our way out the Cobra man we as there. Sorry Ashley she couldn't be stopped!
Then for a visit to see Mahatma Ghandi's resting place. Beautiful!
Then on to India Gate. I told the girls to make sure they were quick to move their hands when girls started drawing on them but some weren't so they have the below! I laughed how one thought it was bird crap at first! We all commented on how moving it is that their war me memorial is honoured every day.

Then came the Sikh temple. I know how special this temple is but I had no idea how absolutely blown away I could be to have a Sikh guide show us behind the scenes tour. Girls were crying at what they saw and some of us spent the time shaking our heads in awe. To think that 80,000 come through each day and they feed 35,000 of them full meals and also provide their medical needs free of charge. It allows the girls to see begging in a new light.
We arrived back to the motel after this for a very quick change and to pick up Isla, Bimila and Tanvi before heading to the Kingdom of dreams show! Holy moly I hadn't been to this place but it was out of this world! The most incredible show I have ever seen. Isla who was exhausted watched the entire 2 1/2 hour show mesmerised! Bollywood look out here she comes.
Kim S was in mosaic heaven as everything was mosaiced!
Day 3 is the day! The day Isla gets to see her Santosh. I think she is ready. She has not been fazed once by the craziness of India and as she sat on the window sill at 6am yesterday watching Indian life she turned to me and said "I just can't believe it mum!" I have never heard her say that so I asked her what she meant and she said "that I am in India it's so special!"
Yes Isla it is x
We hope Isla enjoys her visit with Santosh today. Please thank Santosh for our beautiful god daughter who brings so much joy to all xxx
